On March 15, 2021, Tymar O. Whitsett Jr. was reported missing. There was evidence of possible foul play located inside an apartment located at 1303 Marion Dr. N Apt. F. The scene was processed; however, Mr. Whitsett was not located.

On April 13, 2021, a vehicle that had been driven by Mr. Whitsett was located in the rear of 1585 Smith Rd. There was a body located inside this vehicle that was later identified as being Mr. Whitsett.

It is believed that Mr. Whitsett was killed inside the apartment on Marion Rd. on March 13, 2021, and then driven to the location on Smith Rd. It is also believed that several people were present at the Marion Rd. address when this crime occurred.
