On February 12, 2016, at 3:04pm Columbus Police patrol offices responded to 5460 Carmichael St. Apt #210 after receiving information that a victim had been found deceased inside the apartment. Homicide detectives were summoned to the scene by patrol officers and determined the death appeared to be a homicide. The victim was identified as Maribeth Quinn age 53. The motive for this homicide remains unknown at this time. Columbus Police Homicide detectives are seeking any information in the death investigation.

On December 6, 2025, CPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Osceola Ave on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at scene by CFD. The victim has been identified as Jaylun Gallagher, age 27. The circumstances surrounding this murder are under investigation by Homicide Detectives.
