On Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 5:17am, an unknown male entered the United Dairy Farmers store located at 1043 W. Broad Street. After pacing around for a few minutes, the suspect approached the clerk at the counter and asked for Newport Menthol 100’s. The clerk put the pack of cigarettes on the counter and rang them up. The suspect then grabbed the cigarettes and put them in his pocket. He then mumbled multiple times, “Open up the register, bitch!” He kept his hands in his pockets and implied a weapon. The clerk removed the cash drawer from the register and placed it on the counter. The suspect took paper money from the cash drawer and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as: Male/White, 25-27, 5’9-5’10”, thin build, light colored scruffy facial hair, blue eyes, wearing a black hoodie with a white graphic detail on the front, black NY ball cap, and faded black jean shorts.
