This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Burglary which took place in Columbus.
On Tuesday, June 17, 2016, The Greater Columbus Convention Center was host to a “gaming” convention in Downtown Columbus. While thousands of people were participating in the various events, there were others who had another type of gaming on their minds. While attending one of the events, an unsuspecting victim had his backpack stolen, which contained his room key. The unidentified thieves were then able to gain access to the victim’s room and stole several items, including an iPad, laptop, and several gaming gadgets, whose combined value exceed $2,500.00. The suspects were able to conceal the stolen items in the victim’s backpack.
All suspects are described as heavy-build and are 20-28years of age. Suspect #1 is: Male/Black, short black afro hair, wearing a white polo shirt and light shorts. Suspect #2: Male/White, very dark short hair, wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans. Suspect #3: Male/White, short brown hair, wearing glasses, white t-shirt and dark shorts w/ gray & white trim on sides.
