This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on three Robberies which took place in Gahanna and Columbus.
Between October 17, 2019, and November 27, 2019, three robberies have occurred between 3:40am and 5:40am at three separate gas stations along Morse Road in Gahanna and Columbus: 10/17/2019 at 3:40am – BP at 4835 N. Hamilton Road, Columbus OH 432330; 11/19/2019 at 5:40am – UDF at 1400 Cherry Bottom Road, Gahanna, OH 43230; 11/27/2019 at 4:13am – Shell Oil at 4733 Morse Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.
On the above listed dates and times, the three noted gas stations along the Morse Road corridor were robbed by, whom investigators from Gahanna and Columbus believe, the same individual. The suspect is described as: African American male, 60-65 years in age, missing some front teeth, approximately 5’6’’ in height, approximately 200lbs, with light gray facial hair. In one of the incidents, the gentleman wore a baseball hat with” Flytown reunion 2019” on the front, while in the other two incidents he wore a fedora. During the robberies, the suspect implied he had a firearm by concealing a hand in his pocket, and threatened to harm the gas station clerks during the Gahanna incidents. He fled the scene on foot thereafter. Photos of the suspect may be viewed on our website at www.stopcrime.org.
