Purse Snatching in Northwest Columbus

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a female suspect responsible for a purse snatching on the northwest side of Columbus.

On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, a victim reported her purse was taken as she shopped in the W. 5th Avenue Giant Eagle grocery store. As the victim turned from her grocery cart to select an item from a cooler, a woman standing nearby walked to the victim’s shopping cart, reached over, and removed the victim’s purse. The suspect took the purse to another aisle and hid it. A male suspect came later and retrieved the purse. Security photos of the suspects may be viewed below.
