On Monday, June 26, 2017, at approximately 11:55am, Columbus Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Myrtle Ave. due to a residential burglary alarm. Upon arrival, they were met by the resident who advised that she had received notification from her alarm company. It was discovered that two windows in the rear of the house were open, the apparent entry of the suspect. Among the many items stolen during the burglary were an IPad Mini, Samsung Tablet, and gold jewelry. It was determined that the suspect entered the residence by forcing open a downstairs window. He exited through the upstairs bathroom window, and climbed down from the rear porch roof on the south side of the house. Surveillance equipment captured images of the suspect who is described as: Male/Black, late teens- early 20’s, braids/dreads, and shirtless.
