The Board of Trustees of Central Ohio Crime Stoppers offers its sincerest condolences on the passing of its past president, Kevin Miles, who died on April 28, 2018 following an extended illness.
Although Kevin completed his service to the board six years ago, his legacy of commitment, dedication, and community service continues to the present day. He demonstrated a passion for people, especially those whose lives were impacted by violent crime. As a visible representative of Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, he developed a working relationship with many other organizations dedicated to the rights of victims and their families, including Parents of Murdered Children and Respect My Life. He spearheaded the production of a compelling video entitled “True Consequences,” which detailed the real impact of crime on the lives of everyday people. He became well-known throughout the community for his support and advocacy on behalf of victims of crime and their families.
We honor and thank Kevin Miles for his twenty plus years of dedicated service.
We thank his family for sharing his time with our community. During his tenure, he never lost sight of the fundamental mission of Crime Stoppers: being a vital link between the media and law enforcement in bringing criminals to justice.
