Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, along with the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge #9 and United Dairy Farmers, is pleased to recognize Franklin County Deputies Joseph Pearson, Corbin Wood, Josh Walters, Mickey Casper, and Douglas Robinson as the recipients of the Bryan Hurst/Tony Luzio Officer of the Month Award for June. Please read details below regarding Franklin County Deputies assisting in Prairie Township fire:
The Prairie Township Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the deputies that responded and assisted at the fire on Sturbridge Road on the morning of November 28, 2016. Franklin County Sheriff Office units arrived prior to Prairie Township Fire units and assisted many residents out of the building, including those in the actual fire apartment. After the arrival of fire units, those same deputies continued to provide assistance to victims and fire companies. Furthermore, they remained on the scene for more than three hours and assisted in the cause and origin investigation by keeping a potential suspect/victim in a cruiser and collecting a written statement from that individual.
The individual and collective actions of these deputies are shining examples of the excellent service that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office provides to Prairie Township on a daily basis.
The award presentation, where the rest of the story will be told, will take place on Wednesday, June 7th, around 9:45am, at the Fire Fighters Union Hall, 2nd floor, located at 379 W. Broad Street.
