On Sunday, December 24, 2017, an Identity Theft complaint was reported to the New Albany Police. The victim informed officers that he had been contacted by Target about a credit account that was opened using his personal information at the store in Reynoldsburg, Ohio located at 2437 Taylor Park Drive. Officers were also informed by the victim that his personal information was used at two Home Depots (Dublin and Reynoldsburg OH) and that a total of $10,000.00 was spent at these stores on various items. An officer then called Home Depot and made contact with a store manager who informed him that on December 20, 2017, at 2:03pm, a black male purchased $3999.71 worth of items using the victim’s information. Then, on December 26, 2017, two accounts at Verizon Wireless were opened in his name, and on January 5, 2018, T-Mobile accounts were opened in the victim’s name. Additionally, Best Buy and Sam’s Club accounts were opened in his name as well. The suspect is described as: Male/Black, 25-35, 5’10, 200 lbs., wearing a long ponytail.
