Homicide of Dante Hill – 12/12/07

On Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at approximately 12:00am, Dante Hill and a female companion drove to 1805 E. 26th Avenue. Dante exited the truck alone and walked to the front door of the residence. As he neared the door, an unidentified male walked up behind him in an apparent attempt to rob him. The two men began to struggle and Dante Hill was knocked to the ground. The suspect then shot Dante and began to rummage through his pockets. The female passenger began to scream, which startled the suspect, causing him to run to a waiting car and flee the area. Dante Hill, only 20 years old, passed away as a result of his injuries. A photo of the victim may be viewed at www.stopcrime.org.
