Homicide in German Village

On Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 8:39pm, 81-year old Alyce Seff, the owner of numerous south side rental properties, was found dead inside a wishing well located in the rear yard of 836 S. High St. She had been dead for several days. The apparent motive in this crime was robbery. Mrs. Seff’s car, a blue 1993 Ford Escort station wagon had been taken, along with several of her credit cards and cash. The car has since been recovered. However, on July 6, 2008, two women used the victim’s credit card to make fraudulent purchases at several retail stores on the north side of Columbus.

The suspects are described as: 1) Female/Black, early 40’s, dark complexion, 5’5”, thin, wearing a yellow tank top and baggy white shorts and black house shoes. 2) Female/Black, mid 40’s, medium complexion, 5’7”, heavy build, glasses, wearing a dark green pull over shirt and dark pants.
