Today’s Midweek Special focuses on a Hit-Skip Traffic Crash which took place in Columbus.
On Saturday, April 18, 2020, the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit investigated a hit-skip traffic crash which occurred in the area of N. 4th Street and Alden Avenue. At approximately 3:39 a.m. on that date, Mr. Michael Hall Jr. was walking in the area when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle going northbound on N. 4th Street. The involved vehicle left the scene without stopping or attempting to render aid to Mr. Hall who was later found to have died as a result of the crash. The involved vehicle is suspected to be a later model, silver or grey Toyota Camry, possibly a 2018 to 2020 model, which would have a missing driver’s side rearview mirror as well as damage to a headlight and other visible front-end damage.
