On Thursday, October 27, 2016, unidentified person(s) gained access to the office of an employee at the Oakleaf Village Seniors Community. At approximately 10:00am, the employee discovered her wallet missing and reported it stolen. It was later discovered that one of her credit cards was used at numerous locations within the city to make fraudulent purchases. While this case involves multiple forged checks and fraudulent purchases, one of the victim’s stolen checks was presented and cashed at the Westland Huntington Bank branch by an unidentified female. The unidentified suspect is described as: Female/Black, 40-50 years old, medium complexion, straight shoulder length brown hair, wearing a red top and driving a light colored sedan.
