This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Murder that took place in 2017, in the South Linden area of Columbus.
On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at approximately 2:55 p.m., the Columbus Division of Police received a call and was requested to respond to 1044 E. 19th Ave. A U.S. Postal Carrier observed evidence of a shooting on the front porch of the residence and alerted the police. Officers arrived a few minutes later and discovered two deceased victims inside of the residence. The victims had sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified as Donte Moorer and Janelle Reese. They were pronounced deceased at 3:21 p.m. Photos of Donte Moorer and Janelle Reese may be viewed below.
