This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a 2015 Homicide which took place in Columbus.
On Saturday, July 11, 2015, at approximately 6:14am, Columbus Fire medics and Police were dispatched to the area of Franklin Park South and Franklin Park West, on a report of a male down on the sidewalk. Officers and Medics arrived and found the victim, later identified as Dominique Thomas, deceased and lying on the sidewalk across from 135 Franklin Park West. Mr. Thomas had sustained multiple gunshot wounds which resulted in his death. At the time of his death, he was wearing a white t-shirt, gray zip-up hoodie and black pants and wore his hair in long dreadlocks. Unfortunately, he became the 50th homicide victim in Columbus, Ohio in 2015. A photo of Mr. Dominique Thomas may be viewed on our website at www.stopcrime.org.
