On Friday, May 25, 2007, at 10:44pm, Columbus Police officers were sent to 4792 Laraine Ct. in response to a call about a man being shot. Once they arrived at the front of the address, police found 23-year old Damien Topp lying in the grass, suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators determined that Mr. Topp had been standing in the doorway of the residence at the time of the shooting, but had stumbled outside after being shot. Witnesses advised investigators that a black man, wearing a red and white athletic jersey and a red and white baseball cap shot Mr. Topp. A photo of Damien Topp may be viewed at our website www.stopcrime.org.
