This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Narcotics Theft which took place in Columbus.
On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 12:53pm, two unidentified males entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 1500 Lockbourne Rd. Both males immediately walked to the pharmacy area, where one of the men stood at the counter while the other male suddenly jumped the counter and went to the shelves where medications are stored. While Suspect #1 (carrying a green back-pack) aggressively grabbed three (3) bottles of Promethazine from the shelves, Suspect #2 warned customers who were witnessing the incident to “be cool”. Suspect #1 then leaped back over the pharmacy counter and both suspects fled the store on foot. There was no indication of a firearm displayed/used or threats made and no suspect vehicle description. Both suspects are believed to be Male/Black, medium complexion, 5’6” to 5’8”, 120-160lbs, with thin to medium builds and in their early to mid-20’s. Suspect #1 wore wire-framed eye-glasses, a gray hoodie, dark baseball cap, dark sweatpants with white strips on the sides, and white athletic shoes. Suspect #2 wore a dark baseball cap, gray and white hoodie, tan pants, and black and white tennis shoes. Surveillance photos of the suspects can be viewed below.
