This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on two Bank Robberies which took place in Columbus.
On Thursday, December 21, 2017, at approximately 1:13pm, an unknown male entered the Chase Bank located at 1650 Lockbourne Road and approached the teller counter. The suspect presented a note that demanded money from the victim teller. The suspect grabbed the note and fled the bank on foot. The suspect was described as a male white in his late 20′s, approximately 5’8″-5’10″, 130-150 lbs, wearing a black hoodie with white writing and grey sweatpants.
On Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 2:15pm, an unknown male walked into the Chase Bank located at 2025 Brice Road and waited for one of the tellers. The suspect presented a note demanding money. The teller complied and handed him the money from the cash drawer. The suspect left the bank in an unknown direction. The suspect was described as a male white, 5’8, 170-200 lbs, unshaven, a medical eyepatch over his left eye, wearing a light brown jacket, a dark blue winter cap, and dark overalls. It is believed the same suspect robbed both banks. Surveillance photos of the suspect(s) may be viewed below:
