Today’s Midweek Special focuses on a Homicide which took place in Columbus in 2017.
On August 4, 2017, at approximately 1:52 am, Columbus Police officers were called to 735 Doulton Court, on the report of shots being fired. At approximately 2:02 am, a second call was received by police stating there was a shooting victim lying in the hallway near the front of the apartment building. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Cody Virgil Nichols, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. CFD Medic 12 arrived at the scene and pronounced Mr. Nichols deceased at 2:10am. No motive has been identified. A photo of Cody Nichols may be viewed on our website at www.stopcrime.org.
