Christopher Hogrefe Homicide

Christopher HogrefeOn January 15, 2011, at 5:16pm, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Dakota Avenue on report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 38-year old Christopher Hogrefe lying on the floor suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Hogrefe died from his wounds at 5:23pm. In speaking with Mr. Hogrefe’s roommate who had been in an upstairs room of the residence, he stated he had heard a loud commotion going on and then heard gunshots. He then went downstairs and found that Christopher Hogrefe had been shot and the suspects ran out the front door. According to witnesses, two unknown male blacks had been standing on the front porch of the residence approximately twenty minutes before the commotion and gunshots were heard.
