This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide which took place in Columbus.

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, at approximately 8:12pm, Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to Studer Avenue on the report of gunshots being heard. As Officers were responding to the area the dispatcher informed them that someone was actually shot. Officers arrived and found Christina Perry sitting in her vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. According to the passenger inside the vehicle, Ms. Perry was driving south bound on Studer Avenue when an unknown vehicle came up behind their vehicle and opened fired on them, striking Ms. Perry. Christina Perry was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and was rushed immediately to surgery. Ms. Perry was pronounced deceased at 1:39am, October 26, 2020.  A photo of Christina Perry may be viewed on the Crime Stoppers website at www.stopcrime.org. 

An anonymous donor is partnering with Crime Stoppers to offer a reward of $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477) or go to our website at www.stopcrime.org and submit your tip.  You may also submit a tip by downloading our new free P3 Tips mobile app available on the iOS and Android platforms. We are no longer taking tips via text message.
