This week’s “Crime of the Week” concerns a Burglary in the Italian Village area of Columbus. On Friday, July 29, 2011, at approximately 7:00am, two males approached the rear of a residence located in the Italian Village area. One male threw a rock through a window, and both males entered the residence through the window. Interior motion sensors in the residence were activated, causing an audible alarm. Both males fled on foot; no property was taken. In recent weeks, several burglaries, similar in nature, have occurred in this area. Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000.00 for any information received by August 31, 2011, leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
