On Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at approximately 2:40am, Columbus police were called to the intersection of the I-70 westbound off ramp and E. Livingston Avenue, where the body of Bobbie Bonner was found lying in the street after being struck by a vehicle. During the initial investigation, detectives learned that Ms. Bonner had been seen at the Shell gas station, located at 1937 E. Livingston Avenue, shortly before her death. In the company of an unidentified male, she was last seen walking east on Livingston Avenue, from the Shell station, toward the freeway underpass. As the investigation continued, it was revealed that Ms. Bonner was not the victim of a tragic auto accident, but the victim of homicide. During the medical examination, it was discovered that she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her body, which caused her death.
