This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on an Aggravated Robbery which took place in Columbus and is being investigated by Columbus Police.
On Thursday, August 22, 2019, at approximately 2:00pm, three suspects entered the Big Bucks Pawn shop located at 6065 Livingston Avenue. Two of the three suspects carried weed eaters, pretending to be clients. Suspect #1, with long dreadlocks and wearing a white t-shirt, reached over and behind a glass gun display counter, checking if the access panel was locked. Suspect #1 conversed with the victim, and after the victim exited the business, all three suspects exited, shortly thereafter, abandoning the weed eaters (possibly stolen). Once in the parking lot, Suspect #1 approached the victim, who was getting into his car, and robbed him at gunpoint. The suspect had pulled the gun from a satchel he wore draped over his shoulder. All three suspects wore similar satchels and drove a black, 4-door Chevy. Surveillance photos of the suspects may be viewed on our website, www.stopcrime.org.
