Today’s Midweek Special focuses on an Aggravated Robbery which took place in Columbus.
On Friday, September 11, 2020, at approximately 3:00am, a LYFT driver/victim picked up a customer/suspect in the area of Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road. The suspect insisted the victim drive him to several places not originally requested. When the victim refused, the suspect pulled out a gun and held it to the victim’s head stating, “you will drive me to where I tell you to go.”
For approximately 2 to 3 hours, the victim was forced to take the suspect to several places in the area of E. Livingston Avenue and Noe-Bixby Road. Finally, when the victim stopped to get gas at the Shell Gas Station at 5989 E. Main Street, he was able to escape from the suspect. The suspect was last seen walking away from the Shell station, northbound on McNaughten Road. The victim was able to return to his vehicle and call the police. The suspect is described as: 30-35 yrs. old, bald, black goatee and mustache, 5’7″, 170lbs, wearing a black t-shirt, black/gray sweatpants, displaying a black handgun.
