This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on an Aggravated Robbery which took place in Columbus.
On Monday, April 10, 2017, at 6:31pm, an unidentified male entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 4280 Morse Road. The male wandered around the store for a short period of time before making his way to the Pharmacy area, where he then suddenly jumped the pharmacy counter while brandishing a black handgun. The suspect demanded Codeine from the pharmacists then ran towards an employee and stole three bottles of medication from the shelf. The suspect then fled the store on foot. It is not clear as to whether a vehicle was waiting for him in the parking lot. The suspect is described as: Male/Black, teens to early 20’s; 5’7″, thin build, curly black hair, dark complexion, gray sweatpants, and black pullover hoodie with white drawstrings. The suspect was also noted to have a black plaid backpack that concealed the stolen medications, and had an African (possibly Somali) accent.
