My daughter and I attended the January 11th class from 1pm – 4pm at CoreTactix. It was an amazing experience that made me feel empowered! The instructors were knowledgeable and very helpful. As I am a bigger lady I at no time was made to feel uncomfortable. The exercises we went over I was more then capable of doing and if something was not feeling right then it was ok to sit it out. As soon as I arrived home after class I sent out an e-mail to my sister and friends encouraging them to take this class as well. I am even thinking of broadening my knowledge and taking the level two course. All women should take this class and become more confident in their abiility to protect themselves. Thank you to Crime Stoppers and all the wonderful instructors at CoreTactix for taking the time to offer such an life changing class!
I attended the 1/11 class, 9am-12noon, with a friend, and I am so glad I did. All women need to take this class! The first 30 minutes of the class was spent going over all sorts of good tips and preventative measures you can take. Then we had 2.5 hrs of actual time devoted to learn and practice physical tactics to defending yourself in an attack. All the instructors were so helpful. They stopped and (gently) assisted us in the tactic if we were not doing it correctly. I cannot emphasize enough how beneficial I thought this was. I came away feeling empowered and very confident. I will definitely be recommending this class to women I know.. Thank you to CoreTactix, Crime Stoppers and the sponsors for making this a reality and free for all women!
I want to thank Core Tactix and Crime Stoppers for providing this class to the public! This was an amazing experience and extremely helpful. I encourage all women to take this class… the sense of power you gain will be enough to help you if needed. Plus, some of the written material they provided were things I have never thought of. I attended the 1/11 class and was so impressed, the class was excellent! All of the instructors were fantastic and seemed truly dedicted to this cause. The moves taught were invaluable, such as using the elbows and knees as weapons and most importantly how to get out of a situation laying down. That was the number one thing I took home with me, it makes you feel so much more confident! I really want to take the second class as well. Thanks so much to CoreTactix and Crime Stoppers for offering this class!
THANK YOU!!!! Crime Stoppers and CoreTactix for putting on this class. Being a prior rape victim myself, the information and defenses learned were invaluable! Not only were you given the 1/2 hour power point information to take home to review at your leisure, there were many other helpful pieces of information, hints, tips, etc. also included in the packet. The instructors were very professional and offered hands on, one on one assistance and coaching during the physical instruction portion of the class. The 3 hours were up before I knew it! I recommend this course to ALL women who have not already had some form of self-defense training. The word empowered doesn’t even begin to cover how I felt about what I learned and took with me from attending. I can’t wait to take the advanced course! To think all the instructors there volunteered their time to teach this course is beyond belief. What dedication they show in getting some very important and helpful information out there!

I took the Level 1 Self Defense course this weekend and thought it was great! Thank you to Crime Stoppers and Core Tactix for providing this opportunity at no charge. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but this class was professional and high quality. I have taken a self-defense course before that lasted a number of weeks. This was much better and more practical. The moves we learned and practiced made sense and the amount of information we covered proves how efficient and knowledgeable the instructors are. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
I went to the self defense class (Level 1) on 1/13/09 and it was fantatstic! The instructors were very informative, professional and personal. I learned some wonderful techniques that hopefully I will never have to use. I have recommended this class to all my friends and collegues. It has given me more confidence in my abilities to protect myself if needed. Every women should know the basic skills taught in this class. Thank you to all who set up this program and all who taught it. I am looking forward to taking the Level 2 course soon.
I greatly appreciate Crime Stoppers and Core Tactix for putting on the Women’s Self Defense class at no charge! I walked out of the class with a new attitude and confidence! I learned a lot of techniques that I will continue to practice. The demonstrations were easy to follow. I am also greatful for the instructors who volunteered their time. I hope the classes are able to continue so my friends, family, and coworkers can attend.

I attended the Level 1 self defense class last night. Thank you CoreTactix and Crime Stoppers for making this free class possible! It is a really great, hands-on class. It is also a bit of a workout. This class is very empowering and will definitely help your self-confidence. The class was very well taught and easy to understand. The instructors are all very nice, informative and very helpful. The Core Tactix self defense class was incredible! It was empowering to see women as lead instructors and made me believe that I can do these moves. I just got back from the Core Tactix class in Dublin and it was a great experience. Not only was I impressed by the instructors and the organization of the class but by their enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to donate their time.

I attended a class with my cousin (who was skeptical at first of the class) at Coretactix and we both enjoyed learning and practicing techniques that could protect and save our lives. The instructors are great. They were passionate, dedicated, helpful, and encoraging while teaching the class. I strongly recommend these classes to all females because it is worth it. I just wanted to extend a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to Core Tactix & Crime Stoppers for making the free level 1 Self-Defense classes available. My experience today was fantastic, and I was very impressed by the quality of the program, the amount of practice and supervision provided, and the dedication of the volunteering staff. I’ve always wondered exactly what I would do if put in a compromising situation, and how I would react. After today’s course, I feel that I am well equipped to defend myself. As a 20-something woman, I needed to be reminded of the important safety considerations that I need to take when going out at night, meeting new people, and increasing my own awareness of my surroundings at all times. I would recommend this class for all women my age, and hope to continue my own training with the advanced levels!

My daughter and I attended the Feb 1st class, and we both thought it was great. As the mother of a 16yr old, I thought it was extremely important for her to know what to do if in a situation where someone . . . any one were to try to assert physical control over her. In the class, I think we both learned she’s stronger than either of us were aware. I’m prior service, I’ve been trained in hand-to-hand combat and I work out 6x a week. Yet, when pushed and provided with the tools to fight, she easily could have put me on the ground. I highly credit the instruction we received in this course. The instructors were very professional, knowledgable and impassioned. I recommend this course for ALL women. Thank you to Crime Stoppers for providing the class, and the facility and instructors for the generous donation of their time.
I attended the free self defense class on 2/1/09 at CoreTactix and was blown away. I was astounded at the amount of information I learned and hope to never use! Jenny and her team were outstanding and I am going to require that all my female friends take this class if it will continually be offered.
The best thing about the class was you actually did the work. They didn’t just show you – you had to physically learn how to do it. That was the big difference. It was an eye opener and incredibly valuable. I feel that much more empowered to protect myself.
I went to the self defense class on Sunday. It helped me so much. I loved it. I learned more then I bargained for. This program is something that all women should attend. I attended one of the free CoreTactics self defense classes and feel tremendously empowered after the experience. I highly encourage all women to take advantage of this opportunity to learn what you can take to protect yourself. I think the best part of the training was the hands-on exercises where you could learn many different ways to defend yourself in a number of scenarios. Thanks so much to CoreTactics and to all of the sponsors for your generosity to make this excellent training available to women for free. Many more women are now better equipped to prevent possible crimes and defend themselves in the event of an attack. I plan to sign up for additional courses to learn even more!

I attended the seminar on Sunday 2/1/09. I found it very informative, physical and feel that I really learned alot. This was so much more than I expected. I sincerely encourage women to take this class. All women should know how to defend themselves. The instructers were excellent and took the time to make sure you understood each move. I look forward to taking the next level.
I attended the Womens Self Defense course Tuesday February 10. It is an excellent course which I would recommend for any woman, young or old. The instructors stress how important it is to be both verbally and mentally aggressive, in addition to the physical agression you learn. There are plenty of instructors who walk around to provide individualized attention to make sure you are learning and practicing correctly. This course is so important for all women, no matter what your skill level is. Special thanks to all the sponsors who made this invaluable course possible.
I attended the free Women’s self defense course on Tuesday, Feb 10 and it was a great course. It gave me confidence to be able to walk to my car in a dark parking lot again (although I try not to park in dark places as a general rule). The instructors were fantastic, and motivated to help the class attendees learn how to be safe. We were all encouraged to practice, practice, practice until we were comfortable with the moves and techniques. I would recommend this course to all women.
I attended the January 20th self defense course and was absolutely impressed with the knowledge and skills that I obtained. My brother is a police officer, so he encouraged me to take this training, and I am certainly glad that I did (despite being skeptical). The instructors made certain that everyone in the training understood the details of each move and how to utilize it appropriately and effectively. I went home feeling incredibly energized and empowered. I honestly hadn’t felt that good in awhile. I tried out the moves on my boyfriend, and he was even a little indimated. He had never heard me yell that loudly (which means that the instructors at Core Tactix did their job well).

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I attended the February 24th class and it was absolutely great! The instructors at Core Tactix were very knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable. I come from a family of police offers and I’ve always been told you can never be too cautious. The instrutors made sure you knew what you were doing and how to do it. I felt more confident leaving than when I walked in. I am more knowledgeable about my surroundings and preventative techniques to me and my family safe. I highly recommend all the women of Central Ohio to take this FREE course!!
