Shooting on Near East Side of Columbus

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the persons responsible for a Shooting that occurred on the Near East side of Columbus.
On Thursday, May 27, 2010, at approximately 11:57pm, Ms. Alexandria Reese was driving her gold Chevy Cavalier westbound on Atcheson Street and Trevitt Street along with a friend in the car. This was not her intended route, and she was somewhat lost and was turning around. As Ms. Reese went through the intersection, she and her friend heard what they thought were fireworks, perhaps bottle rockets. In fact, the sound was from gunshots. Ms. Reese was shot once in the neck which instantly paralyzed her from the neck down, causing her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into a parked car. Investigators have determined that those involved in the shooting were targeting a group of individuals across the street. Ms. Reese happened to drive into the line of fire and was shot.

Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000.00 for any information received by December 9, 2012, leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
