Families and Friends of Missing Adults

On Saturday, June 12, 2010, families and friends of missing adults will meet in front of the Rhodes Building in Columbus, Ohio to honor the missing and their loved ones in Ohio. Over the last few years it has become clear that the Ohio Attorney General has forgotten the missing adults in Ohio by not properly informing police about the new missing adult bill signed into law. It became clear that the new law was not addressed properly in Cleveland after all the women in Cleveland who were missing and the Chief of Police there had no idea there was such a law. And after all that, how Richard Cordray could cut funding for the missing adult web site and toll free number and not even meet with families and friends of the missing is actually offensive. The Ohio Attorney General may have forgotten his job and the missing, but the families live every day with this sorrow.

Please join us on Saturday, June 12th, at 2 p.m., in front of the Rhodes Building to honor the missing people and their loved ones in Ohio. Over 1,000 adults are missing in Ohio alone. We hope to raise awareness and bring attention to the fact that the families of the missing need attention and support from our community. Please help us show the families of the missing that they are not alone and that the community cares about their plight. There are too many mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters, and brothers missing, with family members hurting all around. Come show your support on June 12th.
