
On November 10, 2001, at approximately 9:12pm, the Columbus Fire Department responded to a car fire at the rear of 104 W. Main St. The fire fighters found 24-year old James Neubig inside the burning vehicle which belonged to him. He was taken to Grant Hospital with extensive burns and later was found to have been shot. James Neubig died at Grant Hospital from his injuries. James was reportedly last seen visiting a friend in the area of Morse Road and Cleveland Avenue.
Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $5,000.00 for any information received leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
