This week’s “Crime of the Week” concerns a Robbery that took place on the east side of Columbus. On Monday, August 31, 2009, at approximately 4:10pm, two teenage males approached an elderly woman who was sitting in her car in the area of Noe Bixby Road and Refugee Road. One of the young men reached into the car and took the woman’s purse from her lap. Both of the young men then ran east on Refugee Rd. from Noe Bixby. Immediately prior to the robbery, the two suspects were inside the Donatos pizza shop on the northeast corner of Noe Bixby and Refugee. Surveillance video of suspects entering Donatos was obtained by investigators.
Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000.00 for any information received by February 17, 2010, leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
